Streaming the new DLC! (AKA, the importance of lore focus). (Gaming)
A royal, once-thought-dead, blue-skinned enemy that has allied himself with another enemy faction takes our closest robotic leader from us, and we spend the rest of the quest seeking good ol' fashioned revenge... But could there be a greater threat looming in the background?
That's right! DE's newest story quest for Warframe, Forsake-err, The Sacrifice, has just dropped, and (since Claude recently lamented my lack of Warframe coverage here, kek) I'm going to spoilerifically play through it while discussing its connection to the established lore, the way it is directly affected by previous story DLC, and how I'd like to see Bungie learn from DE with this short story quest.
If you don't want to watch that, I highly recommend watching (or listening to) Skill Up's spoiler-free "review" of The Sacrifice, which isn't really a review, as he spends the entire video talking about what the story quest is to gaming/game development, as opposed to the content itself, and how a developer (like Bungie) could improve their storytelling if they didn't tie their lore quests to the gameplay, outside-the-game methods, or simply major expansions where the story is secondary to the content (fortunately, Destiny 2's Annual Pass has the potential to help Bungie make small stories that push the game's lore/story forward):
Anyway, here's the link to the stream!
