Three Gems from the Salt Mine (Destiny)
Hello all! For those of you who can't bare the burn of the salt mines, I bring you some stuffs that I think are interesting enough to post here as well. So here we go...
-------------------------------
THIS IS SO AWESOME! Now you don't have to wait and see what has registered within the Bungie Database for Forsaken. Now you can see it yourself - RIGHT NOW. GO! LOOK!
-------------------------------
21 Minutes of the full Whisper of Worms OST, including all rooms
-------------------------------
API Update: Whisper Ship revealed (with Lore)!
This is something that has to do about the "Whispers" Anomaly. This something has Lore. Said Lore is... of course... awesome, and yes I have to post of it.
"The demiurge of the Hive is the worm; the demiurge of the Vex is the thought; the demiurge of the Fallen is the ether, which is survival; the demiurge of the Cabal is authority. These are the things, both constraint and power, which define the universe of possible actions. These are the rule-makers and instruments which enforce reality.
Give a power to a Guardian and they shall know that power as a weapon, for when a Guardian chooses to alter the world, they do so with the bullet and the blade. Grant a Guardian godly power, and that Guardian shall fashion it into a perfect rifle. The demiurge of the Guardian is the gun.
But we must remember that the demiurge is not the god. It is only the thing which converts perfect divine will into imperfect material form. We may wield the demiurge; but if we do, what god wields us?" — Ulan-Tan

Collections preview
I was wondering about some of the older things it shows me missing, but now I see that according to this update it started collecting data for the collections with Warmind. Anything before that was not recorded.
"Your Collection will begin with every piece of gear that you were holding in inventory or within your vault upon the launch of Warmind. If you had dismantled an item prior to May 8, it will not be available within your Collections."

Note that subsequent posts from Bungie team members have clarified that some items began tracking in February, and that they were able to compile existing data to determine ownership for other items (notably most Eververse rewards). The line in the sand they're committing to for tracking is Warmind's release, but that's an "underpromise and overdeliver" statement; our collections will have a bit more than that when they're visible.
Check the new page on Destinysets.com to see what's actually been recorded.

I know that's not what you mean (right?) but I'm (as are many of us here) old halo blood, so you say reach and I think of it's fall.
Anyway - Good stuff man. I'm a sucker for introspective poetry.

Carter is a character without a function! He could be deleted and all his lines/functions reassigned to Kat and the story would be stronger!

Three Gems from the Salt Mine
Except for the exploration of duality between Carter and Kat which couldn't exist except as split personalities if you combine one with the other. Not meaning to start a runaway train, I just actually think Carter gets a bad rap.

Moving Carter's vestigial functions to Emile or Jun lets them actually play a role in the story beyond 'guy with gun'. Genuinely all Carter does is approve Kat's plans and ram himself into a Scarab which exists only for him to ram himself into. Furthermore, oh god
