It’s entirely possible that these portals are just early hooks that will connect to Foresaken content. I’m hoping it is something more than that, but I don’t want my hopes to get too carried away :)

It’s entirely possible that these portals are just early hooks that will connect to Foresaken content. I’m hoping it is something more than that, but I don’t want my hopes to get too carried away :)
For sure, it just seems like the Redditors have figured out there's some kind of variance in the appearance; though what--if anything--that signifies isn't clear.

Might not be the craziest idea in the world. I saw a video a while back that pointed out some visual similarities between the Worldline Zero exotic sword and the Mythoclast. At the time, I thought it was just a nice bit of trivia, but maybe it was more?
I am SO not looking forward to more people just calling it "the Vex," though. That used to drive me nuts.

Fun(Fun?) Story: Last week before I became even remotely aware of "Whispers" I was on Nessus in the "Watchers Grave" sector. I had just finished a Public Event (The Servitor One) when... odd... all around me there was phasing in and out of existence explosive blocks in the air. I instantly knew something was up, and I recall wondering if there was an order to shoot anything and how to go and figure such out. Then I saw 'im. A Huge Boss sized Minotaur. I've actually since then have been able to fight it twice. Each time, it seems hard coded to move to a certain spot. Before it dies, it's always by the portal in that area. The one with all the horizontal blocks of stone. You get nothing for killing it, as far as I've seen at this point.
Naturally, both times I've gone into the portal to see if anything is triggered or different. As far as I've been able to ascertain, there is yet none. The portal takes you to a space called "The Chamber of Water". Bunch of standard Vex. Nothing telling.
Dare we hope for a Mythoclast mission?
Only if it's the Day 1 OG version.

This sounds like one of the normal missions I remember playing. An Adventure, maybe? Sounds like you happened to be there when someone else in your instance was playing through that part of it.

I have no recollections of the Adventures on Nessus, so this very well may be.
I don’t even have Whisper yet. This already exhausting! (: It’d be a good problem to have.
