About the Leviathan raid and Escalation Protocol (Destiny)

Leviathan Raid
I have yet to tackle the Raid, but the completionist in me is considering it as part of the Solstice of Heroes. Given that my character is ±371 and I have no experience:

What is the time commitment?
Am I at the right level to contribute?
Is anyone still up for doing this raid?
Is it worth it? I know this is subjective, so let me explain what that means to me - I want more Destiny, fun and unique encounters, cool spaces/levels. I could really care less about loot.

Escalation Protocol
On another note, I have yet to get past the second round of Escalation Protocol. I haven't made an attempt since reaching 355ish. Since I don't play often, the chances of a) being on Mars when it's not the Flashpoint, and b) getting matched with several randoms who are leveled is pretty slim. So, similar questions:

What is the time commitment?
Am I at the right level to contribute?

371 is far more than enough for Leviathan. A well coordinated team can knock it out in less than hour. Given that you haven’t done it, say two, maybe three hours at a stretch (I did the final encounter last night with an experienced group and that alone took us an hour and multiple tries—sometimes that just happens). If you make an FTB event, I’ll try and make myself available. Leviathan is still a great raid with some really neat and unique encounters. It’s well worth doing.

As for Escalation Protocol—we just did a 9 person DBO Escalation Protocol last weekend. The run I was in took all of thirty minutes, and it was ridiculous fun and absolute chaos. There was talk of trying to make it a weekly thing, so try and jump in if you see it happening. It’s honestly my easiest Triumph so far. (:

I won’t be able to participate this weekend, due to the KC LAN. Which is fine, you can probably still find a team, don’t wait up on my account!

Just a quick note here. We took kidtsunami's dad through Leviathan earlier tonight. He'd never done it before, either. Took us about an 1 hour and 45 minutes. To be fair, we actually did extremely well, everyone was pretty much on point the entire time with very few minor screw ups. But even at double that, you're looking at three hours. We could definitely get you through a raid in an evening, if you're interested.

So Rat King.

A friend showed me a run in which his group had 6, and was able to one plate one phase calus. First I’ve heard of this technique!

SSN696NYC

Ole Captain Dale Helmer helped build it and then served as an Officer aboard.

Whew!
