PSA! I am glad I found out about this before buying. The X Legacy Collection which was recently released apparently has THREE TIMES the input latency of the original game on original hardware. Tests indicate upwards of 130ms.
That is awful. Literally unplayable. Hope this helps anyone considering it.

Sheesh. I'm not well versed in what's considered good in these types of games, but I AM well versed in computer networking and that's not terribly good for a response time over the internet. How the hell does anything local take that long?

Because they likely just crunched for release and slapped a "SHIP IT" on it, and they'll patch it later. Crappy, to be sure, but not super surprising.
