Taken King had the same problem if memory serves.
We're less than a month out. Any word on if or when we'll actually be able to buy this nonsense piecemeal? I have zero interest in dropping another Benjamin on Destiny when, as I remarked above, a full third of what's packed in I already have sitting on my hard drive. It's also not as if the Xbox Marketplace makes it easy to find out if it's already available this way either.
It is available standalone.

Yes it comes with Destiny 2, which you already own, but you HAVE to own the previous expansions to play Forsaken (just like with Taken King) so buying that version is the best price.

You can find this by selecting the Forsaken logo on the D2 Director screen (as least on XBox). Let's you pick just forsaken or forsaken plus the annual pass, without buying anything else you already own again.
