Yar! "A Diabolical Sceme" for the Prestige Raid Requirement (Destiny)
Hello All! I've been thinking (which is never a good sign :P) about how I'm going to achieve three Leviathan Prestige Raid completions within the next two weeks. As a result, I've come up with a mutually beneficial solution for anyone with, or thinks they will soon have a Purple Solstice of Heroes Armor, and would like to attempt and get it Masterworked.
This idea requires as much of the forums participation as possible. In my head I have us doing this on the last week, which gives the most time for those of us who will be close to getting Purple Solstice of Heroes Armor. Ultimately the timing of this is deferred to the average of our time schedules. I look forward to the responses to this, to see if this week would be tenable as well.
With all the minutia out of the way...
"A Diabolical Sceme" for the Prestige Raid Requirement:
Step 1 "Find the Purple Whale" - We need a group of Forum Raid Super-Pros to get the Throne room on Prestige, then stop. The earlier in the week the better. You may already know where I'm going with this.
Step 2 "Embrace a Sailors Life" - Spread that Instance. Friday deadline. As I recall, only the Host needs to have the instance on character, but I see no harm in redundancy here.
Step 3 "A Weekend Orgy with Head Lasers" - Saturday/Sunday Kill Prestige Calus with your requisite armor piece on.
Step 5-7 "Profit" - Disband (because Bungie Hates fun) into groups of three. Complete any Nightfalls and Heroic Strikes as Needed.

I like your idea, and the fact that you’re taking initiative:)
I personally didn’t respond simply because I have zero interest in completing the masterwork armour at the moment. I got the legendary armour on all 3 characters (just so I could unlock that sweet ship), but I looked at the masterwork requirements and thought “nope nope nope”!
Maybe I’m not the only one?
The idea is a good one, and will likely be pretty fun if you get enough interest.
I'm just intentionally not playing Destiny 2 right now, and I probably won't be until Forsaken launches (with the caveat of jumping in for the Spicy Ramen quest when it opens up).
The volume of PC folks is kinda light around here ime.

I've literally drafted a few posts in my head and failed to actually post them.
I was going to volunteer to get a checkpoint by running it on LFG with one of my alts and swapping out my character. Only issue is I'm absolutely full this weekend and the weekend after that I'm in Alaska :-(

If needed, I wrote up a brief prestige guide a while back.
Not much has changed, except that a single phase kill is much easier now with Whisper available. If people are using whisper, try to have an empowering rift on as many DPS plates as possible (without lunafaction boots), punch a dog while wearing "Striking Hand" raid gauntlets before getting on each plate, and white nail your crit shots.
Per the current weekly update you will be able to complete the Masterworking of Resplendent armor after Aug 28. So if you are trying to do things for Moments of Triumph you still have the hard time limit.
