You can say, of course, that if they hadn't used it, people wouldn't get unrealistic expectations.

Oh, c'mon, it's a quest, you know it's a quest, Cruel knows it's a quest, and you'll agree to that as soon as the next step is made clear. I get the whole "I'm not going to publicly acknowledge future steps because we've been disappointed in the past" thing... but this is obviously a quest.
