The comparisons to Arkham got me interested, but I heard what you said about the fighting being its own thing. I was a big spidey fan growing up, so I'm looking forward to this.
It’s not like Arkham at all, really. If you go in with the “block, then punch” mentality, you’re going to die. A lot. This game is all about fluidity and thinking two steps ahead of your next move. Good stuff!
My only gripe with the game is how slowly the movement upgrades come, since the combat skills are also essential.
Is there a new game+ mode?
Not right now, but they’re working on it (and it will be free). Here’s hoping that it’s as expansive and great as God of War’s.
