Forsaken's the most bug-riddled release ever for Bungie... (Destiny)
Losing access to a character is very big deal, though. I don't know the numbers but some playes have only one character who is active. Fixing this one should be a high priority.
"Game Stoppers", where a person can no longer progress or play the game to completion, tend to be an All-Hands-On-Deck-Priority-Alpha-One bug class.
Names are different, but the idea is the same.
