Is Whisper of the worm always available now? (Destiny)
I finally started messing around with it last week, I can't find anything current about it. Or does it have specific availability criteria for the first run through?

It's only available from Friday reset (10:00 am PST) through Monday reset (10:00 am PST).
If you haven't acquired the gun already, then you have to wait around in the Lost Oasis on IO for a Taken Blight Public Event to spawn (and then kill whichever of the three taken bosses spawns in the area - not part of the public event).
If you have already acquired the gun, then the heroic version of the mission will just appear on your director (on IO) from Friday reset through Monday reset.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about when it's active. I recall reading the reset times you mentioned, but I also thought it had a relation to Io flashpoint at one point.

I think that was just a theory people had because Io happened to be the flashpoint on the first week it appeared. We found out that was wrong the next weekend.
