Haunted Forest dungeon!

Bungie making actual use of the Infinite Forest, and it's available to all players, even those who didn't buy the DLCs. Huh. IMAGINE THAT! Nobody could have thought it possible!

Hey people can now speed run the forest! Also, I hope this feels kinda like an Offensive Firefight kinda thing. I also hope if this goes well it might be released as a game type sort of thing. But most likely not.

Funny thing is that for a while there, I was working on something like that, trying to come up with a plot, tiers, and such for use of the Infinite Forest as an offensive Firefight, called "Simulated Infinitudes".

Based off a great feature in another game, the idea is that you and your team races to keep a meter filled by getting data from enemy kills, with the Forest periodically shifting you to a new area based off of a Crucible map, enclosed Patrol area, story/raid location, etc. From both D1 and D2, with enemy groups spanning both games as well, with two modes:

-Normal: Enemies and locations are completely randomized. Fighting swarms of Cabal on the Templar's Well? Hive across the gaps of the Citadel on Venus? Splicers on Icarus? You never know what you're gonna get! Every wave that you survive gives you rewards from an increasingly valuable pool of rewards, starting with a stack of 10 planetary resources to Exotic drops.

-Legend: Ten curated waves every week, with a guaranteed reward pool for Guardians who complete it (including exclusive Auras, Sparrow trails, Consumables like "Dreg Birthday Party"), leaderboards, and D1 raid armor sets depending on Wave 10's boss (which could be any boss from D1's raids/Prison). D2 raid bosses would drop D1 exotics (Skyburner's Annex, Dragon's Breath anyone?)

Best of all, I was trying to come up with a way to redeem Brother Vance's character. Having him play the fool, while being under Osiris' orders the entire time.
