What's the latest in the Dreaming City?

I asked this a few weeks ago, and now I'm asking again. What are some other tips and secrets about the Dreaming City? The hidden cats was one I just completed. I recently heard that when you drink the ascendant juice stuff, rainbows appear and there are secret chests at the end of them. I also recently heard that there are taken egg things hidden around that you can shoot for a sparrow.

Well, this week (every 3rd week, in fact), there's the Shattered Throne, a dungeon available through the Confluence (you get there through one of the 3 taken portals).

It's a mini-raid, soloable if you're really good, but lots and lots of fun for 3-person Fireteams.

I would, but can't commit to a time. I am currently sitting in the hospital next to my wife who just had surgery. :/ I would love to do this, I've not had the chance to try it at a reasonable light level yet.

The egg-thing you can only do with the wish-ender exotic bow which you can only get the quest for starting in the shattered throne so you have to do it first

Also when you drink the ascendant juice you can find and complete the ascendant challenge (some weeks are more challenging then others). I think that’s how you get purification rituals which you use to obtain armor upgrades that allow you increased damage in the dreaming city. The dreaming city armor comes with the upgrade but also increases the damage you take as well, the rituals remove the negative aspects. Might get it from the oracle engine instead.

Oh. You can complete a weekly bounty to do the blind well that nets you a oracle offering that you can turn in to the oracle engine for a chest and every high curse week you can use it to visit the queen. So far none of thevisits have exactly repeated yet.

One thing I'm trying to do are the Ascendant Challenges, but completing the "Time Trial" Triumphs for each of them. You have to do it pretty darn fast, but it's a fun challenge, especially solo.

I've been doing that too. (Pretty surprising, in retrospect, for someone who has been so anti-jumping for so many years. :) )

I've got 2 left that I haven't earned the triumph for - this week's, and the Cimmerian Garrison (I think that's week 6).

I'm not sure I'm good enough to do this week's solo, simply because I can't kill everything in the middle fast enough. :(

Not gonna stop me from running it a few more times, though. :)

If that's the issue, bring a fire team to help :). I found soloing easier on a hunter where I could leverage tether for a fast initial ad clear (and then only focused on the knight kills). FWIW, the timing this week seems really tight, and it only stops the clock when you come back through the exit portal. You're probably only missing it by a few seconds.

Whoa, really? All the others, the triumph has popped as you open the chest. This one is actually a pain in the ass to get to the exit portal! (I tried climbing the crystal the first time, and actually got stuck. You can easily climb the rock behind it... but you have to GET to the rock behind it, which adds a couple of seconds.)

I had what I thought was a super-fast run yesterday; I'd somehow burned through the adds ridiculously fast, and the Knights all died (politely) in a minimum of swings. No jumping mistakes, I opened the chest... no triumph. I didn't rush to the portal, because I had no clue - I wonder if I'd actually done it?

After watching a few vids (not sure why I hadn't before), you not only need to leave the portal, as Chappy said... but you NEED TO HAVE THE SWORD WITH YOU.

At least one of the corrupted eggs in this week's challenge is also better solo - I think it requires using the Hive sword to fly to the location (and there's only one sword).
