Super Good Advice that makes my life better (from reddit) (Destiny)
I, like many of you, use DIM (or another 3rd party app) to transfer content between characters. I have been annoyed for months with the bug that pops notifications for a bunch of Triumphs every time i use it.
This guy stumbled on the way to make those stop. You simply clear the triumphs on all of your characters! (Heh. "Simply" - I realize that for some of you, this might be a sizeable task.)
It's not nearly as bad as it sounds, though: the only relevant Triumphs are Lost Sectors Discovered, and Region Chests Opened. Use Destiny Checklist to easily see exactly which Lost Sectors and Region Chests aren't finished on a given character, and go finish 'em.
You don't even have to COMPLETE the Lost Sector - you just have to walk into it. (You won't clear the box on Destiny Checklist unless you actually open the chest, but it shouldn't be TOO hard to go down the list right now, and keep track of which ones you've gone into that were unchecked. If it bugs you, you can actually complete them - but there are 38, and if you've got a character you don't play much, that could take a while.)
I was missing 9 Lost Sectors, total (split between 2 characters), and 7 Region Chests (also split between 2 characters). Took me about 15 minutes, total, to finish all of this. (If you've got the slow-loading problem, your times may be greater. ;) ) And now I can use DIM without the bottom of my screen being obscured with every transfer! W000000000000000000t!

lol.
We could not be more opposite on this stuff.
The Triumph notifications that come with transferring gear are super annoying. Having to spend any more than approximately three and a half minutes clearing those Triumphs means that I will deal with those notifications forever, unless Bungie fixes something that makes them go away.
In any case, thanks for the post. At least now I know that there is a solution, even if I'm not going to implement that solution.
For folks that like explanations...
Edgar Verona explains how this bug is triggered, and why this workaround actually works.
GOOD STUFF
(They're working on a real solution, so folks who can't be bothered will be taken care of eventually. :) )
Got really excited cause I thought this was about a gun :(
