Some words on the new raid:

When we revealed the Annual Pass earlier this year, we mentioned the inclusion of new Raid Lairs. In Season of the Forge’s reveal earlier this week, we said it contains a Raid, not a Raid Lair, a concept we had introduced last year. Lairs were extensions of an existing Raid setting. Black Armory’s “Scourge of the Past” doesn’t fit that definition. It takes place in a new setting, tells its own story, and isn’t related to the events of the Dreaming City. Destiny Raids have come in many shapes and sizes, from “Crota’s End” to “Last Wish”, and “Scourge of the Past” falls within that spectrum.

So they're saying that they're just not calling it a "Raid Lair" because of a technicality on their end, but it's still implied to be one. And they make a disclaimer about how players should temper their expectations with regards to its size. It will probably be similar to Crota's End in scope.

Sure will be nice to explore the part of the city at last, though.

Is the new raid in the Last City?!

I mean, yeah, that is what they said in their infomercial.

Next they talk about Power. Some key points:

-Soft cap does not change--it's still 500.
-Players under 550 will see a boost to both the frequency and power of Prime Engrams.
-Powerful reward sources will remain the same for those with Forsaken
-New powerful reward sources for those with the Annual Pass

So the economy isn't changing. That's interesting, and is probably indicative of how things will work for the next three to eight months. Next season will probably see a Powerful reward shift, but for now, you don't fall to far behind, and you'll catch up to your friends sooner. Nice.
