How do you get Gambit Prime weapons? (Destiny)

I got the Auto Rifle (with Multikill Clip, which rules), but I have no idea how. I’ve seen talk about the weapons being tied to specific things, like killing a HVT in Gambit Prime.

I’ll look into it later, but I figured it might be beneficial to discuss it here so everyone knows.

The two new weapons I've gotten have both dropped by finishing the mini-quest that Drifter starts out for you. (Play a game of Gambit Prime, then play a round of Reckoning.)
