Changes coming to Eververse this fall (Destiny)
by breitzen , Kansas, Wednesday, June 19, 2019, 14:43 (1995 days ago)
Read it here: http://bung.ie/31HUqrd
TL;DR:
On September 17, 2019:
• All Eververse armor (new and armor you’ve already acquired!) is being converted into Universal Ornaments
• Universal Ornaments can be attached to any newly acquired Legendary armor
• Bright Dust is going to come from doing bounties, not dismantling things you spent money on
• Eververse items can now be pulled from your Collections with Glimmer/Legendary Shards instead of Bright Dust
Before September 17, 2019:
• Dismantle all of your unused Eververse items to maximize your Bright Dust reserves
These all sound positive! Thanks! :)

Fantastic news... I think?!

My Hunter wears a couple legacy Eververse armor pieces that have been gorgeous dead weight since launch. Are Universal Ornaments just a fancy name for a skin that I can apply over any armor of my choosing at will?

I believe it’s legendaries only, but yes!

I wasn’t planning on wearing rare items so this is satisfactory :P

I only wanna see purple in my inventory. I was stuck with blues for a LONG ASS TIME in D1 before Rise of Iron. Your girl’s high class now!
Didn’t think I’d get to use this twice in one day!

What about Ships, etc? Are those going to no longer be Bright dust?

If sparrows are no longer pulled from collections with bright dust, then I would assume ships would be the same. Same deal with transmat effects. Hopefully they clear that up. I just wish transmat effects were like ornaments.

After a quick go through of my vault for things I got over 14k Bright Dust out of it. I’ll make my way to clearing out the things on my characters soon, too. It is fruitful.
Is there any easy way to determine what's Eververse?

Armor is probably easiest to figure out... but without mousing over each item in my Collections, I can't find an easy way to nail down what converts to Bright Dust and what converts to Shards, right now.
Anyone have any ideas?

In-game, not really. However Light.gg does have the ability to look at just Eververse content in their collections thing. So if you don’t mind a second screen over flipping between in-game tabs that would be my suggestion.

That's great. I've been jumping between Braytech (for source) and DIM (for tagging as 'junk' - but I have to actually look the armor up on Braytech. Hadn't thought about light.gg - showing ONLY Eververse stuff will remove a step.
Thanks!

You can search "source:Eververse" on DIM and it will show you everything from Eververse.
Dayum!
