It's not like Last Jedi addressed this and put it to rest in an incredibly thematically appropriate way or anything.

Yeah, well—it’s not like characters in this series have always told the absolute truth about parents. I say this as someone is who has consistently been against the “Force is biology” narrative.

It's funny though! Looking at all the drafts of the script, it was painfully obvious that at the time Obi Wan was telling the truth 100%. Perhaps one of film history's most famous retcons.
