There was a bug in the PC version that rendered it unplayable at higher framerates. Since damage was applied per frame, higher framerates would just stack you with massive damage way beyond normal, sometimes killing you in a single shot.
I expect this to be fixed, especially since it's locked at 60fps for this.
Play it! Maybe you can get this good. I can't because I'm old now.

That’ll probably be real fun. I have Bayonetta on my PC but I haven’t started it yet. That theme song though, holy crap that’s the saxiest thing I’ve ever heard. I’ll give it a shot this week.
