From this week's TWAB, in the upcoming tuning changes part:

• Reduced Arbalest's aim assist, making it harder to hit headshots in Crucible.

As assuredly as the sun rises and sets, Bungie will nerf fusion rifles.

lol - dude, that gun has been broken in Crucible since its launch (which was 2 years ago next week).

See, this is the part that made me chuckle when they announced the nerf. The player base has been complaining about the insanely high aim assist on Arbalest for ~ 2 years. Then Bungie mentions in an update a couple months ago that they have “plans” for Arbalest in the near future, which made me think they must be working on something a bit more complex than simply turning down the aim assist. Now, after all this time, we discover they’re just turning down the aim assist.

Don’t get me wrong, I think that’s likely to be the correct solution. I just don’t understand why it took them this long to make such a simple and obviously needed adjustment. Better late than never, but this is really, REALLY late, lol.
