Huh. I do not remember doing that. I’ve killed plenty of big dudes, I must have ran into him while I was doing deepsights or something.
Sorry - that's what you DO with the stuff. That's not how you get your first dose.
You probably fought (and killed) that trio of Hive super users that show up in patrol occasionally. The chest that spawns drops your first dose. (or at least that's how I got it)
