New content gotcha (Destiny)

The Tonic Brewing Guide quest went to my postmaster, which, unfortunately affects your ability to do what the game is prompting you to do. Spent way too much time trying to figure this out. Also, opening the Tonic capsule can cause a soft lock. Opening the director fixes it.
Has the quality already slipped? I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played, but so far insane has not missed much.

I found the whole brewing station very unintuitive.
