So there I was, sleeping. Dreaming about... who knows, the plight of milkshakes, or what happens when a clown elephant finally gets their tax return from the guava juice shop... WHEN SUDDENLY!

What was your highest rank in Halo 2? ... and suddenly I'm awake, plucked from slumber. It was 42 right? I'm pretty sure.

Y'all... it was 3 in the GOSH DARNED MORN'N, WTF AM I DOING! LOL... but DANG IT! So I jump on to Wayback, hoping to look up real quick. Thing is... well, not a simple as a search. Try as I do, I just keep finding dead ends.

So I look up how I can go about finding it.

I come by this 5 year old reddit thread...

Several users have inquired about seeing their service record via archive.org in the mean time, so I want to lay that out for you here. First, you should check if a wayback machine snapshot exists at all for your gamertag (replace the REPLACE_THIS_WITH_YOUR_GAMERTAG text with your gamertag):

It will return a list of snapshots available. If it returns [ ] only, then unfortunately your service record was not captured by wayback machine while halo.bungie.net was active. I'm among those, so you aren't alone.

Next, if it does return a list, all you need to do is adjust the following to view any snapshot of your service record:

Lastly, you can repeat the above process with any url of interest, like the Halo ODST, Halo 3, Halo2 career stats, file share, etc... (the tabs across the top of player service record)

It might take some iteration since each link might be timestamp independent. I.e. fileshare url might have snapshots, but the file urls themselves might have been captured in a different snapshot or not at all.

Figured I would add the here for prosperity sake, both the manual verstion and the very handy searchable version. Then again, for those of you who didn't clink the link... might not need too. APPARENTLY, someone managed to back up THE WHOLE GOSH DARNED THING! All " ~3.8 TB" of it! That's... news to me! Goes by B1GSTACK.
