So Larian has gotten into some hot water for saying they use Gen AI in the concept stage, while exploring ideas for their concept artists to eventually create works with. They claim they don't replace concept artists, nor do they include generative AI output in their concept art or games.

This is a very good take on why even for this, it's bad actually.

GenAI, especially in creative spaces, is a huge piece of shit and should be ostracized and mocked, always.

*I will acknowledge that there's nothing inherently wrong with machine learning and theoretically IF models could be built ONLY training on data whose creators had opted in, I think that would be ethically ok. But since few if any of the big players will even say what they trained on, and some are even known to have illegally obtained data, I have to assume it's all stolen by default.
