I think my biggest complaint is it's pretty hard to join up with people.

Yeah, that part is definitely frustrating. I'm F000CH #3449 if you want to squad up. I love playing solo, and I've had decent luck playing with random fills, but it'd be nice to have some more folks I actually know to play with.
