4k was already a bridge too far. 4k gaming, in 2026, still has less than 5% market penetration, the vast majority of gamers still plays at 1080p and below.

This is one of those times where I really have to try and remember the human element, because my natural cynic says "Good, fuck 'em, burn it all down." The problem with it is that it only hurts the people actually making games, not the people at fault for all of it.

Still, it's really, really hard for me to give a fuck. The entire industry is a mess, and there's not a damn thing any of us can do to fix it. Rich people are going to continue to fuck the entire world.

I guess I can always just read a book, until that gets fucked up too.
