Ryan Davis is the Giant Bomb staff member that passed away last year. Ryan Ellis is the Bungie Technical Art Director.

But to be fair, that GameInformer article was an interview with Chris Barrett anways - Ellis just told them who to ask about the egg. ;)

Heh, no worries. It happens.

I caught myself making the exact same error a few times, partly because I also have the name David Ellis (cool dude from 343) floating around in my head.
