Will Destiny continue a "30 seconds of fun" model?
Bungie really liked the idea of 30 seconds of fun. Destiny is going to be one huge and expansive solar system from what we're made to believe. Does that 30 second of fun principal apply? Can it? Or does it apply in certain areas as opposed to all areas of the game? Discuss away!
Yes, it's an underlying game design philosphy
Cycles within cycles within cycles.
Shoot gun, hit enemy, feel good.
Shoot enemy more, kill enemy, feel good.
Destroy small group, feel good.
Complete level, feel good.
Level up. Feel good.

I don't see why the wouldn't continue that model. I think with Destiny, that 30 sec period occurs more dynamically now.
Will Destiny continue a "30 seconds of fun" model?
Eh. Well I don't think the staring off into the sunset portion of gameplay is going to be limited to 30 repeating seconds. :p But yeah, like the others I'd expect the combat to bear some similarities to Halo.
Will Destiny continue a "30 seconds of fun" model?
Obviously, it will change somewhat. Wandering around in the human city won't be "Fun" in the same sense, crafting won't be "fun" in the same sense etc.
But it sounds like Bungie is intent on giving you the ability to get into things that are "Fun" in the same Halo sense really quickly, and you won't have to spend hours doing unfun grindy things. At least, that was the impression I got from the seven pillars they spoke about.

I don't know about leveling up, but it looks like "Acquire Gear" is going to be a cycle, and that's the part that worries me.
