So, that bit where the only light was the player's flashlight (ghost?) and the Hive's EYES GLOWED.. <3
Very strong lighting response on some objects can legitimately be beneficial for gameplay feedback, too. Like telling you that you're about to get eaten by a walrus. Or seeing corners in RalliSport Challenge 2 nighttime races.
