A few weeks ago in the mail sack, the following question and answer was posted:

Storm Wolf Can you tell us more about the factions?

You know what? We can. We should. It's time to reveal a thing or two about the mysterious socio-political forces that shape the culture and history of the City. Now all we need is for one of you to ask a specific question about them by now.

So I have been waiting. And waiting... to get some brief information about the factions so that I could in turn start asking those ever delightful specific questions about them. Now that the largest veil has dropped and things are now considerably more open (with in reason), I had hoped to see something about them by now.

So far what I have found has been by chance with one moment in a stream where someone went to the Future War Cult to get a weapon. That's it. So - I wonder, has anyone else seen anything at all? (I suppose those who have or will play the Alpha will help here)

There's still precious little to be learned about factions, even in the Alpha. None of the faction contacts are particularly chatty when you approach them in the Tower. You actually get more 'conversation' with them when you're on Explore mode picking up beacon missions -- and even there they all send you on similar types of missions making it nigh impossible to learn anything about their motivations or goals from those missions. Bungie's really only given us enough content in the Alpha to demonstrate just how fricking *BIG* this game is, which of course only results in a conditioned response of Pavlovian proportions.
