This is... troublesome. How do we know that the same can't be done here later down the line? (AKA Altering the deal)

Because people actually own Xboxes here. The adoption rate in Japan is stupidly low, so it just doesn't make business sense apparently. Plus, first person shooters are not that popular in Japan anyway.
