PS4 Exclusives until Fall 2015, eh? (Destiny)
So there's this.
A multiplayer map, gear, and weapons I can live with; but a strike being platform exclusive...well.

On the bright side...
When Destiny's first Comet comes in fall 2015, Xbox Oners will have even more to look forward to!
Now that's a glass half full perspective

Confirmed: Xbox to have only 999,999 strikes.*NM*
but a bitch ain't one.

This just seems like the standard Amazon "we don't know the date" date.
(gosh I hope that's the reason.)

Wow. One whole strike?
How many do you think are in the whole game?
If someone's on the fence about which next-gen console to get, I can see how timed exclusives are an inducement. I can see why it's worth it for Sony to want them, and why Bungie/Activision might be willing to grant them (inroads with a new fanbase unfamiliar with their work-- a population that is not going to buy Destiny necessarily for any platform based only on name recognition).
The MS-riots level vitriol resulting from these exclusives, though, is disproportionate.

Just disappointing, knowing that at least one strike in the game is seen by Bungie as being non-essential.

Which of the firefight levels in ODST were essential?
The "essential" bits I'd say are the Story missions, because those are analogous to what we've always gotten as part of campaign mode.
Strikes and Explore are like Firefight-- a mode that can be played solo or coop (or, in Destiny's case, coop with friends or strangers) that is not the solo campaign, and is also not competitive multiplayer.
Tweak an existing enemy, add a new rare loot drop, place them in a part of an area that used to be empty, and boom-- a new "exclusive" strike!
