Character Type (Destiny)
With all the information/play time from the alpha out there, I'm wondering if anyone has changed their minds about what kind of character they are going to create. I'm still stuck between Titan and Warlock and I still can't decide which race to go with.
Character Type
I'm pretty set on an Awoken Hunter. Something about them is alluring and familiar to myself. Hopefully I'm right about that!

I'm pretty sure I'll have at least one of each.
Character Type
Wow, 9 characters!? That's a lot of guardians.
I think once I decide on which class I prefer I'll be sticking to 1 guardian myself. I was pretty much the same way with Halo:Reach, once I got all the armor pieces I wanted I didn't really change my character again. I suspect in Destiny I'll be tweaking equipment/armor a lot more because they will make a difference but for appearance-only related items I'll be sticking with what I like.

Actually, I meant 3 - one for each type (Hunter, Warlock, Titan). Races will be mixed. ;)
Character Type
I suspect Claude means one of each class, and I'll probably have the same.
Finding out about the ability to share weapons was the clincher for me. My primary character will probably be an Awoken Warlock. This partly is motivated by wanting to be as distinct from space marines as possible, and also by the fact that I had more fun with biotics in Mass Effect.

I haven't played Destiny yet, but I'm going Hunter. I just can't decide my race. I was dead set on a Human, but I'm not sure anymore. The Awoken is really appealing and I'm starting to warm up to the idea of being an Exo.
In all honesty, I'll have to make an executive decision at the very last moment. So stressful! LOL

If you're not a biotic, you're not playing Mass Effect correctly ;)
(Admittedly I'm having a lot of fun playing an Infiltrator right now though. Dat Sniper Time Dilatation.)
Still set on a Hunter. Still don't know what race.
Character Type
I wanted to play a hunter from the start, but I am warming up to the Titan as well. The shoulder rush into combat amuses me greatly. After seeing the warlock more I've backed away from the class, mostly because I don't like the look versus any gameplay complains.
I like the fact that the classes are fairly free in weapon choice and have flexible trees. I think I could play any class and enjoy it based on what I've seen so far.
Also, I wish we could pick our voice like you could in Reach. Buck FTW!

The design decisions seem focussed around letting you try different characters and get them battle ready in a short period of time, so I'm sure I'll try them all.
I'm most curious bout the support warlock though. I think it's supposed to have fire based magics and a super that boosts/protects teammates.

Was thinking Warlock cause space magic, but then saw that Titan basically appears to have Mass Effect 3's Vanguard charge/nova combo.
Sooooooooooooooooo yeah Phisto SMASH. Probs try all three though. No opinion on the races yet.
Character Type
I want to try all of the classes. But warlock interests me the most gameplay wise. I always like caster type classes :P. Hunter has the coolest looking gear though.
What im having trouble with is which races to favor, so far awoken and exo look the most interesting (humans are boring :D)
All three
Like Claude said, you can have multiple characters.
Hunter is still my first choice and my 'main' if you like, but I think Warlock would still be pretty fun. Haven't tried a Titan yet so I'm looking forward to that in the Beta.
Here's my mix so far:
Hunter - Human - Female - white hair, green eyes
Titan - Awoken - Female - dark hair, blue eyes
Warlock - Exo - Male - *under consideration*
Didn't play around with the Exos much in the character creator. But I figure I got to try them out at some point.
All three
Titan - Awoken - Female - dark hair, blue eyes
Good choice. :)

All along I've been set on the Warlock, and after looking at what's been revealed of the skill progression, that hasn't really changed. I think I'll spend most of my time as an Awoken Warlock.
However, I expect I'll have one of each class. I'm sure I'll spend a lot of time as an Exo Titan, too. The Warlock doesn't seem geared for CQC, which is something I really like, especially in PvP, so I'm sure a lot of smashy things will happen.
The Hunter just doesn't do a lot for me, though doing precision handcannon work does appeal. But I can always do that with the Warlock. The one thing I do like, though, is the Swarm Grenade.

I want a Shepard-like face for character customization. Also, add space magic combo mechanics with wubwub explosion sounds. Would be awesome.
My 3..
Male Awoken Hunter
Female Human Warlock
Male Exo Titan
If anything it limited my choice
I could seriously see myself playing only as Titan. I liked the Warlock in the Alpha, but I loved the Titan. I could seriously have 3 titans and be perfectly happy... maybe one hunter.... maybe.
Character Type
I seriously can't tell. I haven't been sold on any characters from the start, believe it or not. The Alpha pretty much made the Hunter look like it was the only one worth playing, but I'm sure that may change as balancing and other things occur. I just don't know. I'm not very excited to be any of them, if that makes sense. I'm going to seriously need to try them.

Power combos is what I need in my life.

I never was much a fan of the Titan and the Alpha seriously put me off the Hunter, so Warlock. Exo Warlock. Period.

If you're a robot, why can you SpaceMagic?
Character Type
My first one will be same as my Alpha character: Female Awoken Hunter

"How desperate were they to have created the Exo?" - paraphrasing someone in-game talking about the Golden Age.
We no need no SpaceMagic. We be taboo.

Human Female Hunter. Red hair. Always.
Character Type
Space Magic could be more technological than magical (or biological as in Mass Effect).
Character Type
I'm still positive about being a Titan... but i'll say this...
I was pretty smitten with being an Exo, BUT seeing the character customization options for the Awoken (aka: glowing orange eyes and sci-fi pompadour) has me REALLY torn about race.
What do i do???

Character Type
Exo Warlock has been my main squeeze from the get go. That Exo "postcard", one of the first released pieces of concept art, had me falling for the Exo right away. The Alpha, however, has done a great job of making me very excited to take the other classes for a spin as well. So this is where I'm at currently:
Warlock-Exo-Male
Titan-*race not yet decided*-Male
Hunter-Human-Female
In any RPG I've played, or any game that offers character customization, I always go for a male character. But Demag0gue, with his stories of Traxis, sold me on how awesome a female hunter can be. My decision for a female Hunter is all his fault.
Character Type
Human Warlock. Worked great in the Alpha.
I'll probably spend most of my time on that character, but a Hunter would probably be my first choice of alt.
Character Type
If you are here regularly you already know. Its not even a debate, and even if I found the other two classes interesting (though the cape is pretty cool as long as you stay away from tornadoes or running airplane turbines), I still would be this class.
At this point my major debate with my self is weather or not I should just use up all three slots for the same class with different sub-classes.
See you at Venus! There is a void that needs to be filled - with VEX! HA!
Character Type
I suggest...

...we trade.
I go Exo, you go Awoken.
We both kick ass. Sounds like a plan to me.
Character Type
The Good - Human Hunter
The Bad - Awoken Warlock
The Ugly - Exo Titan
I've never been prouder to be guilty of *anything*. :)

The Hunter was the last class I played in the Alpha because it was the main one I'd already been leaning toward. I wanted to give the other two a fair shake first. But, the Alpha pretty much firmed up my inclination toward the Hunter. I very much like the emphasis on precision and the independent, borderline-insubordinate story flavor of the Hunter.
So, female Awoken Hunter is likely to be my primary. I'll mix and match for my other two depending on the direction I develop their backstories.
Character Type
Is it wrong that I almost want to wait a week or so before creating my character so I'm sure I'm not accidentally creating a darkness wolf in bright sheep's clothing (Awoken) or some sort of murderous evil machine (Exo)? :p
Because of course you would make this reference...

Exactly the same for me. I think there's a few female Awoken Hunters on here; we'll have to call each other beforehand to make sure we don't end up wearing the same outfit when hitting the town/tower.
Or make sure you are. :)

I'm in mourning for Eli Wallach today. He was amazing as Tuco. One of my all time favorite characters. He taught us all the important life lesson, "When you have to shoot...Shoot! Don't talk."

That could be a mighty long wait...
I'm not sure we're going to find out enough about either race that soon to even be able to make that determination...
That could be a mighty long wait...
Yeah, I know. It's just so... different... from starting up a new Halo game. My day one character will likely be an Exo Titan aiming for that defensive sphere of Void Light.
Character Type
I've been leaning towards a Hunter since I first got actual information on the classes. Hearing about how the gunplay goes supported that somewhat, and probably one or two things about the super abilities, but hearing about what they can do with knives made me absolutely sure I want to be a Hunter. I'm going to go with a human male Hunter, because of relatability and because I don't know the backstory of the Exos and Awoken and I don't want to suddenly have mixed feelings for what I picked. For a secondary, I'm thinking probably human or Awoken, probably Warlock, possibly female; so I guess an Exo or an Awoken would be my third one, and if I go human, human, Awoken, Exo would be my fourth, all of this being if and when I even decide to make extra characters.
