Unsubscribers playing Destiny (Destiny)

I have some questions I need answered pretty soon.
I know Xbox One allows a Gold subscription to apply to all members of a household and the PS4 offers something similar for PS+, and that's wonderful.
Basically, I need to know what the options are for playing Destiny on the different platforms based on if you do not subscribe to their live service.
PS3 Yes, unrestricted play
PS4 ?
360 ?
Xbone ?
My main concern is for those families who have one Gold subscription for the 360 at their house, but I figured others may want to know the other bits, too.

Im pretty sure PS4 requires a PSN Plus account. I can only speculate that the 360 and xbox one also need xbox live gold accounts to play.

During the Alpha I think the only thing restricted was the Strike, but I'm not sure on that.

I recall posting something of this effect at least for the Xbox.
...Destiny is a great example of a next gen game experience that I think maybe we will see more of. A game that blends a single player story driven campaign with online spaces where you will see other players, [...and ya know while...] thinking of next gen games one of the things I want to make clear to people in these single player experiences where you see other people in story driven mode, those will obviously be on Xbox live. Those aren't Gold features, those will be features that people can use if they are free member of xbox live. Now obviously PvP, Co-Op ... the stuff that fully uses xbox live is still gold.
So If you aren't gold you can play half the game essentially. No different then a conventional game with a dedicated Singleplayer and Multiplayer mode respectively.
Playstation Plus seems to be about the same. (At least to me)
On the official site it reads:
Membership Includes:
Instant Game Collection™ – Free games included with your PlayStation®Plus membership*
Online Multiplayer on the PS4™ system
Exclusive discounts of up to 75% on the PlayStation®Store
Up to 3GB of online game save storage
One membership works across PS4™, PS3™ and PS Vita systems
As far as I can find you must have a PS Plus subscription for PS4 to play online parts of games like Cod and Bf4, so it might very well apply to Destiny as well. How far?
Currently Unknown.
So If you absolutely HAD to play without a subscription to any middleman, you would have to play on a PS3. Even then... you would "have to" upgrade eventually to play out the next 10 years (more likely then not).
Yep.

PS4 requires a PS+ account to play some of the game.
360/One requires a Gold account to play any of the game.
Although, thanks to family Gold sharing, you only need one Gold account and the other gamertags on the box are enabled to play.
To quote INSANEdrive's post...

Not true according to Phil Spencer:

I'm afraid you give a wrong impression. This feature, which Microsoft calls Home Gold, can be used on only Xbox One consoles. It's possible I'm wrong, but I've yet to see it mentioned without the Xbox One qualifier.

You're right. I forgot to mention that little detail.
Whoops.

Without PSN+ or Gold, you have access to explore and story missions. Anything that requires a fireteam you can't play.

So is the ability to form a fireteam the dividing line? Does this mean you can't play with others at all? Playing with others seems like a core design principle of Destiny. I don't see how it works without it. I know they say it's possible, but they also say it's not what they intended.
EDIT: Re-reading Spencer's quote I understand that other players can be present, but what is the experience for them? They can't follow me on my story mission because I'm not a Gold subscriber?

Essentially, yes. There's a difference between people who just show up in a public area and people you are explicitly joined with as part of a fireteam.
This is not much different than the fact that you can play Halo single player by yourself without Live, but playing online co-op or PvP multiplayer does require it. Except in Destiny you do have the small bonus that you'll sometimes see human-controlled avatars out in the wilds.
Right from the beta site....

Note that this is for the BETA. We haven't heard specifics for retail launch, though I would expect it to follow nearly the same formula. We'll find out in the coming months.
