Coop Night Group/Clan (Recruitment)
I created a group/clan(?) called Coop Night a while back. I could easily change the name to something more creative and include DBO, if there's a need for consistency. It already has a #dbo hashtag.
If you're interested in co-op activities, join! Maybe we can test it out over the next
few weeks.
Kermit

Joined, and I've got a question.
Can we join more than one clan?

I've got the same question. That's one reason I'm not sure if I'm going to convert this group to a clan yet.
I hope so.

I don't think so. As I understand it from the Alpha, you can be in several different groups but you can only choose one as your clan. Not sure how much that might change for the Beta, though.

Yeah, I'm thinking they want to make it more of a commitment. For the record, this will definitely stay a group if clan membership is limited to one.

Also...
Your clan name displays in your player banner in-game, so joining multiple clans would be... problematic. :)

Yeah, I've got to think about what kind of clan I'd want to be in. Maybe it's a question of who would have me. I should just put myself on the market.
Available: Cranky old guy who doesn't get your 90s cartoon references. Limited aiming ability. Enjoys a good laugh and long walks on the moon.

Heh.
I asked on bungie.net and the first response was "What a stupid ass question!"
Whew! And I thought things were getting testy around here.

That was your first mistake.

I'm pretty sure that's a kind response compared to the rest of Bungie.net.
That forum is all sorts of ugh.

^ This. *NM*
Though I was pleasantly surprised how my post over there promoting Speculation Saturday went. Had a good amount of likes and replies and only had one bizzaro stop by to yell at people (completely unprovoked and out of the blue) about the horrors of choosing the Xbone... Good times... :)

I'm not as old as you Kermit, but I am over 30, with three kids - hence a limited time for play and a limited aiming ability. I enjoyed the Crucible more than I expected to (in the Alpha), and will spend some time in there, but my primary play in Destiny will be in more casually-focused in story/exploration modes. Especially looking forward to checking out the lush areas of Venus.

Hit me up, buddy! Kermit-DBO.
I may not be up late enough for late-night central time gaming that often, but I'm sure we can find some time.

You should watch Rocko's Modern Life and The Angry Beavers... like, now.
