Destiny Unlock Beta Codes (Destiny)

I was given a 36 character code for beta access on the PS4. However, when I go to redeem my code on the PS store it says enter your 12 digit code... Did I get a bad code from bungie or am I trying to redeem in the wrong place? Any insight would be appreciated.
