Pike vs. Spider Tank (Destiny)

Where do you pick up the Pike?

Forgotten shores, random Pike patrols will come through and you have to shoot a Dreg off to steal their Pike.

Well shit. Any specific time of day or is it truly random? I know what my Fireteam is doing tonight.

Sadly I've only seen it twice so I can't say for sure if it's on a schedule. Someone on here might know though.
