Scarves (Destiny)

Maybe I'm misremembering, but correct me if I'm wrong.

In the Alpha with my Hunter, I remember getting scarves in addition to cloaks, and I much prefer the look of scarves. I really don;t like the hoods.

Yet, in the Beta, I have not gotten a single one, and the lone scarf I have is the one that came with my character.

What gives? Are they gone?
