Hunter. The throwing Knife is super sweet. Especially in multiplayer.

The throwing knife is super sweet, as is the double/triple jump--but the Warlock's Voidwalker subclass' AOE focus are especially useful in PvE and PvP. Gives you control over enemy movement when you block doorways with them. I'm also looking forward to holding in place midair with the Sunsinger while I snipe people. And revive from death to exact revenge.
witch class should I be???
Thanks, I have alwas been into the cool throwing knife since I have seen the gameplay at E3
Which class should I be???
Here's a collection of each class's supers and upgrades. It should help you decide.

Thanks for the reddit post ill make sure to read it on my off time :-)
You answered your own question with your question.
Well played.
Is it just me or is the Void Titan tank as hell?
I mean, Ward of Dawn generating Orbs of Light as it takes damage so a second Void Titan can create a Ward of Dawn that generates Orbs of Light so the first Void Titan can create a Ward of Dawn?!
Yup
I'm planning on playing hunter primarily, but I want to build a void titan for raids. Two of those together feeding each other orbs will be a solid base for the other guardians to work from.
All aboard Padraig and Rev's Pain Train

try all three
Nobody says you can only play one class. I am pretty torn between Titan and Warlock, but I will probably have phases of preferring one class over the other for various reasons. My point is, try the other classes for yourself and then make the decision. There's no rush.
I'm pretty sure I've done that at least a dozen times.

Tank is an MMO term
So; no. Destiny is not an MMO, remember?
The Titan Choo Choo

Still, that's better than Amtrak.

I've heard it used in other contexts...

Hahaha!
I love this. I never played any PVP with the Titan, didn't even think about this possibility.
Hahaha!
I've done that at least a few dozen times with my Warlock for aiming and/or throwing a Nova Bomb a tad too soon.
Also note-worthy is my ability to miss that column on the far side while back-pedaling. I fell down that corner so many times... Bravo point is evil! Evil, I tell ya!
Thanks for this! Been looking for a good list!

Bloom - "Enemies killed by any of your abilities explode."
Yes. This. Yes.
What day is it? Aug 6th? Sonofa....
Stop being so dense
Tank is used in more genres than MMO. I don't understand why you're being so derisive towards everyone here as of late, but it's getting to me.
Angry Magic. All day. Any day.
Nothing like having my Nova Bomb steeply arching over walls to pulverize mofos.
Stop being so thin-skinned...?
It was a joke. Do I have to put smiley faces on everything now?
P.S. There is no real concept of a tank in Destiny anyway. You're going to die within a few seconds of each other regardless of class.

Doesn't either the warlock or Titan have a super the absorbs damage for whoever is in the bubble?

Uh, maybe.
The person talking puts context to the speaking. That's especially relevant in text where a lot of assumptions about meaning have to get made. And to be blunt, a lot of people here are used to wanting to argue with you right now.
Sarcasm is dangerous.

Ward of Dawn for titans.

I wonder if we can stack the bubbles and thus stack the benefits. Could be useful against high damage bosses in tight spaces, or defending positions in PvP.
One thing that confused me, though
If the bubble is indestructible, what use would a buff to armor be while inside the bubble?
That's easy...
Like things simple and uncomplicated? Are you a fan of Call of Duty? Are things like "strategy", "wits" and "cleverness" foreign concepts to you? Then the Titan class is calling your name!
Do you want to be quick on your feet? Do you prefer to avoid direct conflict in favor of hit and run tactics? Do you trust your aim and speed enough to outwit multiple foes? Then the Hunter class if perfect for you!
Do you believe that brains can triumph over brawn? Do you believe in the merits of a high-risk, high-reward strategy? Are you a team player who has enough cleverness to survive alone? Are you attractive, funny, and intelligent? Then the Warlock class welcomes you into their ranks.

It's almost certainly like a Halo bubble shield. Enemies pass through, shots don't.

Heh. In the beta I had to be more clever most of the time in order to avoid all those ranged supers and weapons the other classes were using on me. Maybe in the future the extra armor will help but it didn't seem to do much in the beta...

Yeah, I've heard this happens on the internet...!

I think there's a bit of double-standards going on here. I'm supposed to not misinterpret overwhelmingly contrariness as meaning anything in particular, but I'm supposed to be explicit about having a joke in a thread where people are already making jokes...?
Sarcasm is dangerous.
No; sarcasm is awesome. Now excuse me whilst I go and hug and kiss some poisonous snakes.
Stop being so thin-skinned...?
That's interesting, but I'm not sure it really counts as making Titans into a true tank class. If such a thing truly were the case, then bringing a tank to certain encounters would be mandatory, which in turn would make this talent choice mandatory. And mandatory talents suck.

This isn't a discussion of what's fair, and even if it were, I'm not seeing a strong enough resemblance in those two situations to be drawing a very powerful point about "double standards."
I'm just telling you why everyone misinterpreted your post. Make of that what you will.
(By the way, part of the issue here is that this is not entirely a "joke thread," and your sarcasm was in response to a semi-serious suggestion. It's not like everyone here is making sarcastic comments.)

I roll Warlock, and I roll all day long.
Christ, my hype is beyond all scope of reason.

I don't think you are. I think you're trying to sanctimoniously make a show of me because I don't represent the mainstream view here.

The "uh, maybe" at the start of my post is certainly suggestive. Maybe that was part of my inner motivation. I dunno, but I suppose I won't explicitly deny it.
Even if that's true, though, the two possible motivations for my post do not mutually exclude each other. I know for sure that I intended for it to be an accurate explanation of what happened. So yes, that is what I was doing, even if I happened to be doing something else at the time.
FTFY
Are you a fucking loser? Then the Warlock class welcomes you into their ranks.
You say Titan is COD-esque, but I rarely find the need for guns when peeps getting slam jammed.
Kung-Fu Panda, then?

'Sploits man. I'm actually super excited for all the skill and team interactions.

A Solar Warlock can generate orbs too I believe...

I know, right? I hope this is one of the keys to raids. I want situations that force us to coordinate steady streams of orbs that feed a steady flow of golden guns, nova bombs, and fists of havok. I want those moments when we're hoping that one of our titans can drop a bubble to save us from the impending doom. I want to see knife wielding hunters dancing around a fire-winged warlock while high level enemies fall at their feet. I want to see coordinated waves of fists of havok pushing invunerable enemies off a cliff. That's what gets me excited.

Yeah, but you can respec on the fly in Destiny.

I don't see how that undermines his worries. I also don't see how the fact that a tank exists makes it mandatory in any encounter.

I'd imagine certain abilities will be mandatory in the same way the Plasma Pistol was mandatory on legendary. Sure, you can do it without one, but it'd be a lot harder.
Mandatory vs Optimal
I'd imagine certain abilities will be mandatory in the same way the Plasma Pistol was mandatory on legendary. Sure, you can do it without one, but it'd be a lot harder.
Then that's not really mandatory, just optimal; what I'm talking about (which I'm 99% certain Bungie has decided against) is a system of literally requiring that classes fulfil a certain role. For example, Bungie has also decided not to implement a healing class: the closest they get to this is with the ability to revive, but every class can do this and so there's no need for a specific role. This makes sense because the smaller your group, the more versatile and less-specialised you'd want character classes to be. You can afford to have several dedicated healers in a group of 25, or a single dedicated tank in a group of 5, but with only 3 in a Strike this becomes problematic: if that person happens to be down at the moment you need their role special ability, you all fail.
Being able to help shield your buddies from massive damage periodically is obviously useful, but in order for that to cross the threshold into becoming mandatory they'd basically be saying: you can't choose to use fist of havoc, sorry. They'd also be making a decision to punish you for not having your super available at the right time, which in turn would discourage use of your super so as to ensure you do have it available at the right moment later on. I can't imagine that's something they'd want.
Being able to change your talent on the fly also doesn't really help, since changing talents mid-action is slow and cumbersome: much like any inventory-based activity, it's best done when nobody else is waiting on you.
I'm sure lots of optimal strategies will arise for harder content, and they will involve exploiting damage-type weakness and using specials in a way that synergies between guardian class abilities. But Destiny is an action game; these things will arise organically, and change from one run to the next. For all the ways in which Destiny shares DNA with an MMO, this is one of those cases where (for me, at least) it doesn't.

I'm very disappointed that they didn't use the actual sound clip from TitanFall in that video... it would have made the whole thing complete.
