The Destiny beta's unacknowledged debt to the Space Race (Destiny)
Y'know, I can't help but think interest in space exploration has grown exponentially compared to what it was just a few years ago. Destiny isn't just a game that happens to be set in space, but is instead a game whose setting and history relies heavily on that aspect.
Good Stuff.
Haha, simultaneous deletes. :)

I'm a girl. I don't know if I'm any good though.

Good stuff, but this line stopped me.
Despite no mention of the moon landing anniversary from Bungie, the timing of the beta could hardly be considered a coincidence ...
I kind of think it was a coincidence. A cool one, but still a coincidence.
The Destiny beta's unacknowledged debt to the Space Race
What they would have thought about their names finally reaching the moon by being sewn into the trousers of a videogame avatar is perhaps difficult to judge, but someone out there thinks it is a fitting tribute. Perhaps in a time when those names are all but forgotten, it is.
Loved this.
