Other games have them. Why not Bungie games?
Well, very few console games do. I don't know WHY, but it is very rare in console games. I remember somebody was making a list of console games that had them and he didn't even get to more than 20 that he could find.
Valve games do it. Bethesda games, too. It's glorious.
Maybe they don't want people with optimized control schemes to have an advantage in multi.
