Looks like there is a new promotion next week for Xbox where (at participating retailers in the US) you can pick up an Xbox One and pick a game to get free. The link above specifically mentions Destiny even so if you are looking to upgrade that might be a great option.

There is, "Free game must be a new, disc-based game for Xbox One, maximum retail value $59.99.", so you can't get the limited edition but could get the standard edition.

I did just that.
I finally caught a sale on something XB1. I wanted a second XB1 for convenience and so my wife might join in. The free game I picked was Kinect Sports Rivals for the Kinect XB1 I already have.
I already downloaded the Destiny digital version and that will be perfect for sharing across the two systems.
