If you're going dark, you probably can't answer, but I do have questions about how spoilers are leaking. If Destiny requires online to work, and if it's anything like the Beta where it just flat out locks you out if the servers go down or your own internet goes down, how can anyone be playing it to spoil it? Or are we talking internal Bungie people spoiling? Because the servers don't go on until it's midnight somewhere on the 9th.

You will see the light. Fun-tastic Destiny metaphor aside, I think its not going to be possible to be completely unspoiled for Destiny, simply because it is so vast with SO much to do, that it in it's very nature is going to involve hearing about some things before playing it, such as the riggers and torments of a raid.

I actually was going to make a thread about this but.. eh.

Testers breaking their NDAs maybe? Not sure if they'd use outside of Bungie testers for the more story/spoiler heavy areas of the game, but with as large as the game is I'd assume they would need testers for that.

Discs are in the wild. People are playing. Yeah, it's mainly Bungie people, but not exclusively.

One is a huge Grimoire dump, with info about characters, missions, events, locations, etc.

I can't say for sure. I don't know if the limit is technical or policy, but I suspect the latter. If I were Bungie, I would tell the media to wait simply because playing now would not be an ideal experience.

Spoilers don't necessarily require people playing - I think a lot of them are coming from data mining the companion app.

I'm super excited for Destiny, and I wish Bungie commercial, but more importantly critical success. I hope everybody here, including the Xbox players, has a great time playing the game. I hope Bungie knows we appreciate the years of hard work just to create a product to entertain us, and their skill at what they do. I hope this forum will be rife with fun, speculation, fireteam requests, and all the cool stuff that drew me into the Bungie.org community.

The LE comes with a lot of "goodies" and those "goodies" have codes on them, in them, near them, etc. Those codes unlock Grimoire cards that are unveiling new enemies, bosses, locations, etc. Those are the spoilers I've read about.
