My biggest concern about Destiny. (Destiny)

Being an MMOFPS/"shared-world shooter," Destiny requires online. But what does this mean for my long-term enjoyment of the game? It probably goes without saying that one of these days the Destiny servers will be shut down. It might not happen for another 15-20 years, but it will inevitably happen. When that happens, will Destiny have been granted an offline mode to where I can keep playing indefinitely? Sure, PvP would be permanently unavailable and even some missions might not be possible, but most of the main part of the game could still be accessible and playable without need of an internet connection. Now, I don't know about you guys but I tend to replay most of my games. I have games that I've had for 20-25 years or more that I still go back and play. Will we have the ability to do that with Destiny, or will we all eventually end up with discs that have been reduced to mere coasters?
