Ships/Sparrows as loot? (Destiny)

Anybody know if you can get either as loot or end mission rewards?
I've seen someone get a shader at the end of a mission, and I was a bit surprised to get gear for a different class at the same time.
Got a Sparrow from a Golden Chest once, if that counts

I'm not sure which one, but one of the Venus missions I completed today rewarded me with a ship.
