...will we ever get a better look at a colony ship? Also has anyone tried making one in Kerbal Space Program?
...the intro to the entire game (Ares 1 landing) was freaking awesome.
...will we ever see any Apollo landing sights like in the cinematic trailer?
...will we ever see any pre-Golden Age Mars rovers like Sojourner, Spirit, Curiosity, etc.?
...will we get to have any low-gravity/microgravity missions on a space station or something?

Man. I expected you to complain about the scientific improbability of virtually everything in the game. I still have problems with the moon having the same gravity. And AN INACCURATE MILKY WAY. FFFFUUUU
As a space enthusiast...
Oh, same. But we're not going to get any answers other than "because the Traveler", so I don't ask those questions.

It's a fantasy game in space. Don't expect scientific explanations to anything.
At this point, I don't expect any explanations to anything. Just cool set-pieces.
And man, wouldn't it be cool to fight the Fallen or the Hive in amongst the ruins of an old Apollo voyage on the Moon?

I don't want to fight near anything related to historical missions. I just want to be able to go see them. Or find them hidden away somewhere. Maybe Curiosity's mast-cam poking out of a sand dune, or something. The last thing I want is to see Fallen/Hive rounds ripping through the gold foil on the Apollo LM's descent stage. That'd break my heart.
EDIT: Also the explanations thing, I don't really need an explanation. "Rule of cool" would be just fine with me, but I'd still be rubbed the wrong way by the space station above the Moon never moving, or the Earth being so very nearby in the sky, or Phobos being so close to Mars, or being able to see Mars as so large from the surface of the Moon, or...
Because the Traveler?

I'm a genuine idiot, but one thing really pisses me off on the moon.
How is that Space Station maintaining geosynchronous orbit whilst being only what seems like a few hundred meters above the surface? COME ON. Not cool. Automagical terraform all you like but if Kerbal has taught me anything, it's that this is just wrong. And bring lots of snacks!
