Interesting. That's one huge launch for a new video game franchise, though I do wonder how much of that was in the first 24 hours and if the sales will keep up.

By comparison, CoD: Ghosts did $1 billion in 24 hours, and Halo 4 did something like $220 million in its first 24 hours.

It's apparently not enough for Wall Street investors who downgraded the Activison/Blizzard stock because they didn't sell enough. Even though $325M was the sell through, retailers bought $500M so they've made a lot of money.
