Limit Special Abilities During non-iron banner (Destiny)
How is this fair? Lucky Raspberry lets me carry more heavy ammo, and in crucible, heavy ammo drops give me TWICE as many rockets.
Think about that. I get twice as much heavy ammo as everybody else. Do you know how many Machine Lord medals I've been getting?
I really think Bungie should think about only enabling special armor and weapon abilities in Iron Banner.

But... when every's special... nobody is
I quite like the way it's setup. Sure, it's harmful to noobs but once everyone starts getting exotic/legendary gear with various special abilities, then it evens the playing field. Nothing is stopping another player from getting the same perk you have, or perhaps a totally different perk that might somehow counter your surplus of heavy ammo.
Limit Arc-Blade during anything ever*
No matter how many Machine Lord medals you farm off incompetent level 9s in the crucible, nothing will be more broken than Arc Blade.

I would have to agree, really, though I'd also just be fine with one extra-equalized playlist.

How is anything about Destiny multiplayer fair? Sunsinger can get an overshield for using their special punch. If we're in a punch-off, and I'm a Sungsinger, I'm going to win. Sorry.
I'm having a blast with Crucible regardless. It's.. It's Destiny, man.

yeah, it's destiny and that's why I didn't bother with the crucible until I was lvl 20 and now I'm wrecking house.

I think there should be a strictly balanced playlist. Only weapon specs matter, not weapon upgrades, not damage type, not character upgrades (other than double jump, of course). Now, off the top of my head, I have no idea of how to handle Supers, grenades and charged melees other than completely cutting them, but I'm sure someone can come up with a nice middle-grounds solution.
Destiny has a really nice gunplay and having people being scared off by the sheer unbalanceness is just sad.

That's still a ways off strictly balanced, then.

I meant RoF, Impact and stuff. I'm assuming those are balanced out within the same Attack rating?

I know.

Not really, and even if they were putting in a good effort to make it "fair" in some vague sense, it's hard to call an arena where everyone's gear is very qualitatively different "strictly balanced."

I'm not aware of any instance in PvP where damage type DOES matter.
Except certain Exotic Bounties...
+ Unfriendly Giant
Lucky Raspberry + an upgraded Unfriendly Giant (field scout upgrade) = shit mega tons of rockets in the crucible. Very handy and very overpowered.

I feel that way with my upgraded The Swarm. 60 round magazine with good accuracy that hits like a ton of bricks? Good times.
