Apparently Armour-piercing rounds go through walls (Destiny)

This post on reddit claims that guns with AP rounds can fire through cover/walls. It seems they can go through one structure, be it concrete, glass, whatever.

Now, was it someone on here who mentioned that they got sniped through the glass by a guy on A on First Light? I think this may be why.

I can confirm this. I could get critical hits on the Nexus through those massive walls that you can use as cover. Doesn't seem to penetrate every single surface, though, but it's definitely opened up possibilities...
