This right here wiped us out more often than I care to admit:
I have no idea what the rocket was colliding against, and I had the same problem with my Nova Bomb over and over. I started double-jumping out of the bubble when unloading with anything heaver…
I think it says I was killed by the Minotaur because that was the last thing that shot me on my way through the gate.

The shield only works with bullets, not rockets. You blew your self up.

Correct.
Also get in the habit of not doing that. The relic holder can do much more damage using his super against the boss repeatedly while you have the time's vengeance buff. If you are high enough level that you can do tons of damage, this isn't so important, but at low level or on hard mode this makes a difference.

Nope. Both Rockets and Supers work through the Relic shield:
I would have been melted alive if I weren't entirely inside the Relic Shield for that. And I did it a ton of times. Grenades work, too. After reviewing a few clips, I think the Relic geometry itself has a large collision volume, so if I were standing next to it (like in the first vid), I had a chance to tag it. In this video, though, I'm well in front of the Relic, so I'm not tagging its hit box.

Now this is a different topic entirely, but sound advice. We'll give this a shot tomorrow. Apparently the Relic holder also has an attack similar to Fists of Havoc that we weren't using, so that's also something for us to try. Our problem wasn't so much damage against Atheon (we'd get him down to half health in 3 cycles, which seems reasonable). Our issue was having an odd person die (like my rocket launcher episodes), which would start a cascade to failure.

If you don't want advice, don't read on.
Since you are coming off of a Time's Vengance buff (and should have a full super), there's no reason for anyone who gets teleported to die inside the portal, since they can spam their supers to kill the ground enemies.
Outside, it seems like spreading out is the best bet. Keeping someone of the other side can draw some of the supplicants away from the portal, and it's much easier shooting them while they aren't rushing at you. Also remember you should have a full super meter. Don't be afraid to use it to kill supplicants.
Instead of using rockets, you can either use a high impact sniper, or spam grenades on Atheon if you are afraid of accidentally killing yourself.

Yeah, we had been sending all of the "present" players to one portal, which may have increased Supplicant traffic on our landing zone (I died a lot coming out of the portal when a stray Supplicant exploded). Last night we discussed spreading out and working both sides, so hopefully that will help.
I dunno, seemed to work pretty well for you. ;-)
If you have a high dmg Fusion Rifle on the outside team, use it on supplicants. If you land all your shots they will derezz and not explode. Still not the safest option, but it helps when you are capping the plate.
And don't be afraid to ditch the plate when it's capped. Supplicants can't uncap it. I'm guessing cuz they aren't ground enemies.

Yeah, but they can explode on the portal closing it, wiping everyone inside…

I used to rue the fact my fist of havoc could not damage the boss in and meaningful way, then I used it to clean the entrance for the away team. As a well oiled machine, the home team made the supplicants our bitch.

I upgraded a blue machine gun with good dmg and stability, worked a lot better with conserving ammo too.

The Titan bubble is probably the culprit there. Your camera might have shown you outside the bubble while your body and rocket launcher were still inside.

I bet you're right. I've had enemies *just* on the other side of the bubble where my melee strike hits the bubble and not the enemy. Tis a fine line.
